Humanoid robots are not something you see in movies or read about in books anymore. A company called UBTech from China has made robots that look and act like people. You can have them in your own home. These robots have advanced intelligence and can talk to you like a person.
UBTech just showed off their U1 series in Shenzhen. They have female robots so you can choose which one you like. These robots are different from the ones you see in factories because they are made to talk to people and be their friends. They can have conversations with you. Keep you company when you are at home.
One of the things about the U1 series is how real they look. They have skin made of silicone. Can make faces like people do. UBTech says these robots can look you in the eye talk to you and make you feel like you are talking to a person. They are much better than those voice assistants you find on your phone.
The company has three kinds of robots: the U1 Lite, the U1 Pro and the U1 Ultra. The one costs around $17,650 and the most expensive one costs $145,820. You can choose an female robot depending on what you like.
These robots can move around in a natural way because they have 88 special joints that help them. The male robot is 183 centimeters tall and the female robot is about 168 centimeters tall.

The U1 robots have a system that helps them understand how you are feeling and they can talk to you in a way that feels natural. They do not need to send all your conversations to some computer in the cloud because they have their own brain inside them. UBTech says they keep all your conversations private and they do not send them to any servers on the internet.
