Description
Course Outcomes Certificate
in Gemology.
Theory /
Practical In the Gemology
course the students are taught about the gemstone's origin, natural/synthetic
imitation, and composite gemstones. Use and care of gemological instruments,
separating natural gemstones from synthetic, chemical/ optical, and physical
properties of corundum, beryl, tourmaline, topaz, etc, crystallography,
gemstones formation, 4c’s of gemstones/diamonds, cleaning and caring of mineral specimen and gemstones, international
marketing and E-Commerce.
During this training, 60 % of the time has been allocated for practical
training in Gemological Laboratory.
The syllabus of
courses taught at GGIP has been designed and approved by highly qualified
faculty of international repute namely Prof. Dr. Qasim Jan, Mr. Bahrawar Khan,
Mr. Bakhtiar Khan, and professors from the National Center of Excellence in Geology,
University of Peshawar. The contents included in the syllabus are taught in all
the institutes of similar repute.
